George Trudeau who presented the world premiere of Narrow Seas by Caroline Shaw wrote these observations to the Music Accord partnership: "I can attest that the Shaw work is both brilliant and touching and with the Crumb makes for an incredible musical experience. We'll perhaps never have so much percussion equipment on our stage at one time again! I'm so glad to be a part with all of you in supporting Caroline's commission, and that we could host the premiere. We enjoyed several days with everyone, including Caroline who came the day of the concert and still fit in a workshop for our composition students. Master classes by Dawn, Gil and the So Percussion guys provided great opportunities for our students and So Percussion charmed our donors at a dinner prior to their separate program as part of our Classical Coffeehouse series. BRAVO to the artists. Lee and Martin Wittenberg at Alliance Artists, along with Yumi at So Percussion, did a terrific job in working with us on the logistics. The culminating performance was one of my most memorable experiences here, one of those one-time-only events that make it even more special."
